Chinese Postgraduate Media Meetings holds in GZU

On the morning of Nov. 5, 2015, the opening ceremony of the Chinese Postgraduate Media Meetings was held at the Academic Hall of the administrative building of GZU. Guests presented the meeting included Director Assistant Song Yu, of Education of Graduate Education Development Centrer, Xiong Xing, dirctor of Scientific Research and Graduate Office of Guizhou Provincial Department of Education, and GZU leaders like Yang Wei and Zhao Degang. In addition, nearly 200 graduate media representatives from over 80 colleges and universities in China.

The meeting was oepened by GZU Deputy Party Secretary Yang Wei, who welcomed all the guests and introduced the progresses GZU had achieved in recent years, particular those about graduate education. In her speech, she said that GZU has always been encouraging and supporting the development of postgraduate media and regarded it as a crucial platform for promoting ideological and political education, strengthening academic communications and showing their own talents among postgraduate students.

Then, Xiong Xing introduced provincial conditions and fruits of the postgraduate education in these years.

Finally, Zhao Yu, in his speech, said that postgraduate media should keep close to postgraduate students and their specific demands, maintaining a correct guidance for public opinion and enriching students’daily life. At the same time, the development of the media should make full use of the new media to diversify their publicities.

After the opening ceremony, representatives from Wuhan University of Technology, Sichuan University and Xiamen University made speeches respectively and discussed about future development of the postgraduate media.
