GUIYANG — Six scholars from Guizhou University have been named to the 2025 “Highly Cited Chinese Researchers” list, a leading global academic ranking.

The honorees are Professors Jiang Jianzhuang, Chandio Abbas Ali, Wang Jinrong, Song Bao’an, Chi Yonggui, and Cheng Anchun.

The list was released on Jan. 30, 2026 by Elsevier. Based on data from the globally recognized Scopus database and a methodology developed by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy, the ranking identifies scholars with significant research impact.

This year, a total of 6,310 top researchers were selected from 543 universities and research institutions across China. Guizhou University ranked 140th among the listed institutions.
